Today, I’m spotlighting one of my favorite Detroit/metro coffee spots, New Order Coffee Roasters! A refreshing combination of bright/happy/colorful/Instagram-worthy branding and “they really know what they’re doing” coffee expertise, New Order opened a few years ago in midtown and recently expanded to add a second location in Royal Oak. This past week, we ordered some Nicaragua and Brazil beans to brew at home, and as soon as I opened up that package, I found myself reminiscing about the magic behind the coffee at this fun roastery.
While in-store interactions are on hold for the time being, New Order’s online shop is up and running, so you can grab a few bags of beans (whole or ground to your preference), K-Cup pods (gotta love that convenience factor!), and even brewing equipment to create an awesome, at-home coffee experience. According to New Order’s website, orders currently ship out on Mondays and Thursdays, and I got mine super-fast (the coffee was on my porch within two days of ordering, and the beans were roasted on the day they were sent out).
