The Container Store’s First Michigan Location Arrives In Novi

Any organizers out there? Neat freaks, scrapbookers, or people who just really enjoy wrapping presents?

Boy, are you in for a treat.

The Container Store has finally made its way to Michigan, bringing with it 22,000 square feet of storage solutions, office products, and so much more! With over 10,000 products on display, this organizer’s paradise opens Saturday, June 4th in Novi (Novi Road and I-96, in the former Best Buy building). I’d never had the pleasure of seeing The Container Store in person until this week, when I was given the opportunity to check out a special sneak peek of the Novi store. And whoo, lemme tell you . . . it did not disappoint.

You know that saying, “like a kid in a candy shop?” Or maybe it’s, “Like a tech nerd in a Microsoft store.” I dunno. However you spin it, The Container Store is my happy place. I mean, it’s filled with lots of colors and things that will make my house pretty—who wouldn’t love that?

– 300 food storage solutions
– 750 office products
– 400 travel organization solutions
– Every full-time TCS salesperson receives over 266 hours of training during their first year, compared to the retail industry’s average of 7-10 hours
– TCS offers in-home consultations (yep, have them visit to design your dream closet!)

Okay, that last bulletpoint* was my own embellishment, but can you blame me? We’re talking color-coding and the end of our kitchen drawers getting stuck on disheveled utensils, and . . . ah, it’s going to be great.
