These ‘Superior’ Mittens Are Designed With Yoopers In Mind

You guys probably know (and it’s no secret) that I love Michigan Mittens. The Pontiac company designs and produces some of my favorite Michigan-themed products, including their super-popular, map-adorned mittens. Even better, there’s a new product in town this winter: Superior Michigan Mittens! These dual-layered beauties are gray wool on the outside, lined with blue or red acrylic on the inside for super-warm, non-itchy protection from Michigan’s trademark cold season. If you’re a Yooper or planning a camping trip up north this winter, these babies are for you.

I got a test run at the new Superior Michigan Mittens a couple months ago when Brad and I took a trip up to Pikes Peak in Colorado Springs. While it was in the sixties at the bottom of the mountain, the summit was encompassed by fog, clouds, and yes—snow! I was planning to photograph the Superior Mittens during our trip, so thankfully, I’d put a couple pairs in my backpack beforehand. Warm hands really do make a difference when you’re suddenly faced with an unexpected winter in September!
