Mrs. Doubtfire follows the story of out-of-work actor, Daniel Hillard—a man who will do anything for his kids. After losing custody in a messy divorce, Daniel creates the alter ego of a Scottish nanny, Euphegenia Doubtfire, in a desperate attempt to stay in his kids’ lives. As the new character takes on a life of its own, Mrs. Doubtfire teaches Daniel more about being a father than he bargained for.

Mrs. Doubtfire stars Rob McClure, who drew critical raves, standing ovations, and a Tony Award nomination when he originated the role of Euphegenia Doubtfire on Broadway. Joining him as his onstage wife, Miranda Hillar, is actress Maggie Lakis—McClure’s real-life wife!

Mrs. Doubtfire officially opened on Broadway on December 5, 2021, to rave reviews and received six 2022 Outer Critics Circle nominations (including Outstanding New Broadway Musical), two Drama League nominations, and a Tony nomination for Best Leading Actor in a Musical before closing on May 29, 2022. The show opened in London’s West End in 2023 following a successful Manchester engagement in the fall of 2022.

Mrs. Doubtfire is directed by Jerry Zaks, with a book by Karey Kirkpatrick and John O’Farrell and music and lyrics by Wayne Kirkpatrick and Karey Kirkpatrick (the Tony Award nominated team behind Something Rotten!).
