One of the things I love about Broadway in Detroit is its annual curation of the best stage shows. We’re talking new shows, classic shows, and none of the random filler. And if an absolute banger tours through one year? Best believe it will be back, baby.
That said, I am dancing and singing my way through this week because SIX is back at the Fisher Theatre now through January 12! From Tudor queens to pop icons, the SIX wives of King Henry VIII take the microphone to remix 500 years of historical heartbreak into a euphoric celebration of girl power. This new original musical is the global sensation that everyone is losing their heads over.
SIX won 23 awards in the 2021-2022 Broadway season, including the Tony Award for Best Original Score (Music and Lyrics) and the Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Musical.
